Plan, Live and Love Your Retirement
Administration for Community Living (ACL)
All Americans—including people with disabilities and older adults—should be able to live at home with the supports they need, participating in communities that value their contributions. To help meet these needs, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) created a new organization, the Administration for Community Living (ACL).

Kure Beach Senior Citizen Program
The Kure Beach Senior Citizen Program was established as a way for the police department to provide support for our growing population of senior citizen's. Senior citizens that are signed up for the program receive personal visits and phone calls from the police department on a weekly basis. This allows for officers to observe the physical health of the senior and to contact relatives in the event of an emergency. Two officers are assigned to the program and keep an up to date list of emergency contacts and evacuation information for a hurricane event. Upon approach of a hurricane, officers will ensure the seniors have made arrangements to evacuate and will provide assistance if necessary.
If you would like to participate, or know someone that would benefit from this program, contact the Kure Beach Police Department's Administrative Assistant, Tammy Earnhardt, for more information via phone 910-458-2014 or email tammye@tokb.org.
